How To Create Content That Generates Sales In Your Coaching Business

It’s very important to be aware of how we’re monetizing our traffic. I’m not saying that you should monetize every single thing you put out, but as a coach and online business owner, I think it's important to know how much money you're generating every week, month, etc.


Things that go into your business are going to financially reward you because that’s going to allow you to stay in business and continue to grow. It's important to know how to attract customer attention with quality content.


What is Quality Content?

Begin with the end in mind. Where is it you’re going to be making money in your business? What product, program, or service are you going to lead them into?


If you're new then you might not have your packages and programs set up. If this is the case, you should prioritize getting those ready.


If you're a bit more advanced, it's more about launching and amplifying the packages you already have. Sometimes you make new ones, but, in general, you want to scale up what you have. Because if you’ve been in business a couple of years, you already have some things that are working really well for you - let's maximize that and take that to the next level!


That’s how we’re going to magnetize and attract them through that initial front-end free content.


Why Quality Content is Important

Know your clients. Know what they’re struggling with and their pain points. Meet them where they are and speak to that.


You’re reading this right now because you want to know how to monetize your content. You clicked the headline and now you’re here. You wouldn't be reading this now if this wasn’t something that you needed help with. This is what I mean by knowing your clients and meeting them where they are.


It might seem very generic and a lot of people talk about this but the longer I’ve been in business, the better I've been able to understand who my ideal client is. 


I'm not talking about demographics, I'm talking about psychographics. The more you understand that deeper level psychology of what's going on with them the better.


Creating Content that Sells

Get good at copywriting. This is going to be big if you aren’t already well-versed in it.


Copywriting is all about the words you’re using to move people along the sales process. An effective way to move people through the sales funnel is when we use copywriting.


Again, it’s all about psychology. Meet them where they are. 


You want to use emotional triggers and connections in copywriting. Storytelling is really big in copywriting as well.


This is completely different from writing technically. So if you're used to writing things like thesis papers then copywriting is completely different. Facebook posts that look like a dissertation are not going to do well compared to a: “Oh my gosh, you guys, I just did this and this.” 


Copywriting is very casual. We need to meet them where they are and speak to the pain points. It’s a lot of slang.


Another important thing about copywriting is to have a lot of white space. Break up your text because you want it to be easy to go through. This goes for anything you write, like social media posts or blog posts. Make it easy to follow through.


If you just have a wall of text there then you’re likely going to lose them. So you're going to want to make sure you have a lot of white space. Make sure the flow is correct and you're moving people along. To do this, we have to make our text easy to read.


Learning this is going to be crucial for your business. Once you master the art of creating quality content, it’s going to be a great way for your ideal customers to find you.
