Maybe you are already running a team. You are keeping track of every day on everything they do. It might be still on you to make it all work. So then you are busy making sure that your team is doing every step according to plan.

But, has it ever crossed your mind how much of an impact it has on your coaching business when you consider the importance of an entrepreneurial team?

Underestimating the value of a solid team is what burnt out coaches don't seem to notice.

Would you still be able to have to create this tasty dinner your kids want every day if you have to work for your countless launches?

Imagine not knowing how important a thriving team is. It would be like saying: You don't know how your body works and what you need to eat to be healthy.

Is it more important to know how to create a team that you can trust? Or is it more to stay busy micromanaging your team the whole time?

To scale up their business, these coaches build teams from the ground up and pick the best people for the roles. How mindset and structure are important when building an entrepreneurial team

 

The first thing I want to talk about is mindset again. "Mindset again this time!? My programs are working and selling. I know what to do..." 

I mean, science hasn't found out everything about the mysteries of the human mind yet. Or else they would have stopped researching a very long time ago, don't you agree?

When it comes to mindset here, you want to know: Are you viewing their role as an expense? Or are you viewing their role as a profit generating role for you?

Burnt out coaches, and I have been there too, burn themselves up because they just want to cover the heads of their whole team. So they try to bring in more and more sales to make up for it.

Imagine if there was a single mom that was trying to take care of 10 children. And she is working a regular 9-5. Where is she going to find the time?

Impactful coaches don't want to be in that pressure-ry kind of state. But they don't want to compromise their business revenue. So they want every member of their team to bring in four times what they are paying them. 

Yes, that won't happen overnight of course but that's one of the things you need to do so you can have a team you can trust to make you money in the long run.

That's why, on top of this, these coaches think through the structure of their teams. That means creating job descriptions that have the key performance indicators in detail. They want Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in there that your business needs, so your applicants know what is expected from them.

"...themselves," you said probably. What if I told you that this isn't the case really? There is more to it than you might think.

Because this is what happens for burnt-out coaches: They bring in people, even professionals into their business. Then they expect them to run themselves. 

After some time, they either get no results at all or the results from the pros are out of line with their branding, for example. 

Imagine if a world class soccer player, left to her own devices and a leftie, ends up playing on the right side of the field.

Or think about how life is now and how it was like 100 years ago. Do you think you can leave a factory worker from the 1900s alone and expect him to analyze today's big data?

Thriving coaches want their team, their puzzle pieces, in the right position. Even if they are doing the right work, it might be still off in some ways. Maybe it's off in terms of your branding or how you want to present your USP.

They also regularly check and see if their team needs further training in their field. They do it so that their team doesn’t compromise their revenue in the future.
